Sticktalk was for many years primarily an email-based discussion group, with hundreds of members globally at one point. As technology has moved forward, demand for such a service has declined, with the move to more immediate social media. From June 2026 the email aspect of this site is therefore discontinued. There is no sign-up required to use the remaining facilities of this site - the PSG species list (with interactive map and other features), the label printer, the glossary of entomological / phasmid terms, and the gallery of user-submitted photos.
