Sticktalk is the safe, friendly online resource for anyone interested in stick insects, walking sticks,
phasmids - different names, same insect!
For many years we ran an membership-based email list, with daily - and later, weekly - email digests where members shared knowledge, asked questions, contributed photos and requested - or offered - livestock for exchange. In June 2026 the membership aspect was discontinued as activity on the mailing list had tailed off, with other social media platforms taking precedence for most people.
The website (now hosted at sticktalk.derektp.co.uk rather than sticktalk.com) will continue for the forseeable future however, offering a feature-rich version of the Phasmid Study Group's culture list, an online glossary of entomological and phasmid terms, a gallery of user-submitted photos and our livestock label printing tool. No sign-up required for any of these.
